BOX RULES
-
Be on time. Our classes begin promptly on the hour, so be dressed, stretched, and ready to sweat on the hour mark. (If you are late there is a two burpee penalty for every minute late)
-
Check your ego at the door. No matter how good you are or think you are, someone will always be better than you (unless of course your name is Rich Froning, in which case you can come in with an ego in exchange for an autograph).
-
Come in with a good attitude. If you do not want to be here, then we don’t want you here either. “ATTITUDE IS IMPORTANT – PICK A GOOD ONE”
-
Accept constructive criticism from the coaches. You are paying good money to be coached and taught safely with proper form and movement, and that is what we are here to do. Listen to your coaches and learn from what they are telling you, they are here to help you reach your goals. Don’t get in your own way.
-
Be honest. Don’t cheat with rep counting or count reps that did not meet the standards. Competition is a great motivator but don’t let it out weigh honesty.
-
Be courteous of your neighbors. At times space can get a little cramped so be aware of your surroundings and respect the space of those working around you.
-
Please do not drop barbells or kettlebells on anyone else or yourself. Trust me, they hurt!
-
Do not drop kettlebells, empty barbells or barbells without bumpers on them.
-
Cheer on your fellow CrossFitters and don’t be afraid to swap a little sweat with a good old fashioned high five after the WOD. Crossfit is competitive, but don’t lose sight of the community and friendships that are the most important aspect.
-
Clean-up after yourself. Put away any equipment that you used.
-
Clean-up any bodily fluids (blood, sweat, etc.) that you’ve left behind. We have all of the necessary cleaning products, just ask.
